As you know, the school is closed for the majority of pupils but is remaining open for children of key workers whose jobs are critical in the fight against coronavirus, and for maintaining vital services at this difficult time. The school intends to stay open just for this small core group of pupils for most of the Easter holiday period.
We very much hope that all of you who are working and staying at home during this time are keeping well and safe. We are now developing our home learning materials and resources so that all pupils learning at home have more communication with their class teachers and support staff, as well as giving teachers the chance to set a range of creative activities and learning tasks which can be completed, on a weekly basis, once the Easter holiday period is over.
Our home learning pages will be developed by each class teacher, ready to go after Easter. Miss Bode, who is working from home will, however, be setting up her class page next week so that her pupils can give us feedback as to what is working well. This will help us as we move forward in these changing times.
Many thanks for letting us know some of the wide range of activities you have all been up to this week. Pictures of some of these activities can be seen on the presentation here.
Please do keep following all the government guidelines, support one another, and stay safe.
At Acle St Edmund C of E Primary school, we aim to create an exciting, challenging and caring learning environment in which pupils become successful and confident learners. We provide pupils with many opportunities to develop their full potential, both as individuals and as active, caring citizens within a rapidly changing world. These aspirations are summed up in our school motto: “Learn more, think more, be more” and underpinned by the Christian values we share as a community.
We work closely with parents and carers to provide the best possible education for our pupils, and hope that this website gives you the information you need to know. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving and developing the site.
We welcome visits to our school and look forward to sharing our learning community with you.
