Year R class

 Welcome to our class page!

Dear Reception,

We would like to say a big well done to all of you this year! It might not have been an easy year but you have all shown fantastic resilience and perseverance! You have all worked really hard this year so that you are able to think more, learn more and be more!  It has been lovely to see you all grow into such independent, confident and lovely people, who are kind and helpful. We would like to thank you all for our wonderful and thoughtful gifts. We all really appreciate your generosity. We wish you all the best in year 1 and we will miss you all! We hope you have a fantastic Summer holiday.

Stay safe and stay happy 🙂

From Miss Turner, Mrs Scott, Mrs Roberts, Mrs Belgrave-Lock and Miss Mewse.

Home Learning: Monday 13 July- Friday 17 July.

Welcome to our Reception class page. I will upload weekly learning tasks for you to do at home. There will be a combination of Maths, Phonics and Literacy activities as well as more creative topic based ideas that you could do. Do as much as you can but do not worry if you can not complete it all! It would be fantastic to see what you have been doing at home, so feel free to send some key moments/achievements to me via email or upload them onto EvidenceMe! If you would like to show your friends what you have been doing then please send me your photos/videos by 3pm on Friday. Your grown ups can e-mail me at

At school this week we have enjoyed making and testing our own rockets, making a ‘rocket’ launch into the air and learning all about space and the different planets. We have learnt about key vocabulary and it’s meaning such as: gravity, solar system, space station, astronaut and oxygen. Take a look below to see some of our wonderful learning…
